About

I am a mixed media visual artist located in the West Highlands of Scotland. My artistic practice focuses on an exploration and investigation of my surroundings, with particular emphasis on themes such as fragility, transience, endurance, and the dynamic between micro and macro perspectives.

My work draws inspiration from the natural processes that shape the environment, and these influences are reflected in my studio investigations on paper and canvas. The primary geographical focus is on northern regions, including the Arctic, where I have undertaken extensive fieldwork, sometimes collaborating with scientific researchers.

Increasingly, I am interested in collaborative projects that integrate diverse disciplines and artistic approaches. My objective is to create works that foster new modes of engagement; seeing, understanding and valuing the world in different ways.
